Tom Adams leads the field
Ilkley Harriers runner Tom Adams won the demanding Ilkley Incline race for the second successive year.
Difficult weather conditions just before and after the race were made light of by the magnificent 87 who braved the elements for the 10th anniversary event last Wednesday.
The highlight was Racheal Bamford’s new ladies record time of 8min 54sec while Gill Myers (Wharfedale Harriers) came first overall in the V50 Lady age group as well as being third lady,.
It was great to see, especially on such a poor day, that as well as continuing to attract a wealth of local talent across the age groups, runners came from as far afield as Cambridgeshire, Oldham, Kendal and Rotherham.
