ILKLEY Town produced perhaps their biggest victory of the season on Saturday afternoon as they won 2-1 at league leaders Horbury Town.
The Baht’atters have moved up to 4th in the NCEL Division One in the process, and although Horbury remain as remain firm leaders at the table’s summit, the result sent a few shockwaves around the rest of the division.
Joe Snowden put Ilkley ahead after 29 minutes, and whilst Joseph Angell levelled after the interval (52), Harry Brown struck the winning goal just four minutes later.
Town, who travel to Yorkshire Amateur on Saturday (3:00 pm), held onto a valuable and somewhat surprising victory.
