BEN Rhydding Golf Club’s Stephen Senior is celebrating after taking victory at the Bradford Union’s prestigious Seniors’ and Veterans’ Championship.
The tournament took place at West Bradford Golf Club, using the stableford format, and it was a tight affair.
Both Senior and Baildon Golf Club’s Andrew Burgess finished level on 40 points, but the former took the title on countback.
Senior’s clubmate Alan Parker also produced a good performance, finishing ninth on the day.
His effort was enough for him to take the Division D title too.
Bracken Ghyll Golf Club had four men in the top 20, with Will Stoker (12th), Michael Dunn (14th), Stuart Thomson (18th) and Phil Robinson (19th) all enjoying a decent round.
And Ben Rhydding’s Johnathan Lightley came 21st overall, but that was enouh for him to come second in the Division B standings.
