ILKLEY talisman Kevin Gonzalez was at it again on Tuesday night as he scored a brace to help his side return to winning ways.
Following defeat in the FA Vase on Saturday, the Baht’atters were eager to get back on the horse, and that’s exactly what they did as they eased past Swallownest in a 2-0 away victory in the NCEL Division One.
Gonzalez’s first goal came in the 38th minute when he stretched to connect with a Marriott flick on from a Parker delivery, and he made no mistake in dispatching the chance to put the visitors 1-0 ahead.
And his second strike came in the 67th minute of the contest.
In typical Gonzalez fashion, he latched expertly onto a deft through ball down the right wing, before cutting inside and finding the far corner with a curling effort.
The Baht’atters held onto a precious victory to stay third in the division.
