BEN Rhydding's men side put on a scintillating attacking display as they thrashed basement side Belper 8-0 at home over the weekend.
The hosts got off to a fast start and quickly put themselves into the ascendency, having gone 3-0 up through strikes from Myles Locke, Ross McMillan and Will Musgrave.
Belper did managed to regain some control in the second quarter, helped by a couple of green cards awarded to Rhydding players.
Into the second half and the hosts found their rhythm once again and they were rewarded for their dominance with another five goals. Matthew Birch, George Gamble and Max Helme got on the scoresheet, while McMillan and Musgrave each picked up a second to see the hosts to a comfortable 8-0 victory.
As for the women's side, they were also at home against a very strong Sutton Coldfield outfit who sit top of the league, and they fell to a 2-1 defeat to the leaders.
Emma McCabe put the visitors ahead after just four minutes with a well taken strike.
However, Ben Rhydding worked their way back into the contest to establish some control of their own. Unfortunately, it was short lived as McCabe scored again for Sutton Coldfield following a series of penalty corners for the away side.
Star player, Rebecca Birch pulled one back for Rhydding with a well-placed strike from a penalty corner, this strike coming days after she had been selected for the full Scotland squad where she will be joining twin sister Katie.
One final moment of drama came when Rhydding goalkeeper and captain, Charlotte Smith, pulled off a fantastic save from a penalty flick awarded to Sutton Coldfield, who saw the game out to collect a 2-1 victory.
This week the women travel to Olton & West Warwicks while the men travel to Beeston.
