BEN Rhydding Cricket Club are full of festive cheer, after breaking a record.
They held their annual Boxing Day net on Tuesday at the club from 11am and were rewarded with the biggest turnout in the history of the event.
That attendance record was confirmed by the club’s groundsman Peter Taylor, who also fulfils that vital role at Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Following the relaxed Boxing Day net, several of those in attendance then headed off to popular Ben Rhydding pub, the Wheatley Arms, who also happen to be one of the cricket club’s sponsors.
