Ilkley may not be sitting too pretty in Regional One North East, but the picture could look much brighter if they can claim an away win at Blaydon on Saturday.
They put in a good display last time out, suffering a heartbreaking 21-20 home defeat to York, but have now had a week to rest, with most rugby union called off last Saturday due to the Rugby World Cup final that night.
Their opponents on Saturday sit fourth, but Ilkley would overtake Blaydon with a victory.
They could even finish the weekend as high as third, but only if other results go their way.
