TEN-MAN Guiseley had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Worksop Town last night.
With new signing Jordi Nsaka, in on dual-registration from Bury, among their ranks, the Lions were probably satisfied with the point, given they had to play the quarter of the game without Jameel Ible, who was sent off for two bookable offences.
While there were chances throughout, most of the drama in this Northern Premier League Premier Division clash was confined to a five-minute spell just after the hour mark.
Worksop were awarded a penalty after 64 minutes, with Vaughan Redford sending Oli Battersby the wrong way from the spot to give the hosts the lead.
But Guiseley came back with an instant reply, as Kallan Murphy found himself free in the box with an easy chance.
He made no mistake, burying his effort to equalise, but a minute later, Ible received his marching orders.
Substitute Joe Stacey thought he had won the game for the 10-man visitors with a minute to go, but his goal was ruled out for a harsh offside call against team-mate Gabriel Johnson.
The point moves Guiseley up to eighth in the table ahead of their league game at high-flying Warrington Rylands this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Guiseley have confirmed that their league game at Ilkeston Town, postponed due to flooding on Saturday, October 21, has now been rearranged.
It will instead be played on Tuesday, November 28, with kick off at 7:45pm.
