GUISELEY’S fine form continued on Saturday, as Jameel Ible’s second half strike secured a 2-0 victory over Stafford Rangers at Nethermoor.
It was The Lions’ fourth consecutive victory in all competitions and the win has seen them rise to 12th in the league table.
A goal in each half was the difference for the hosts as Liam Tongue continues to march on after taking over as interim manager.
Gabriel Johnson opened the scoring eight minutes before the interval after taking the ball round the defender, before striking the ball through Cameron Belford’s hands to break the deadlock.
Captain, Ible rounded the scoring shortly after the interval with a thunderous right-footed strike that nestled into the roof of the net, following a corner situation.
Next up for Guiseley is a trip to Ilkeston Town on Saturday, with the action set to get underway at 3pm.
