MENSTON Crompark lost a battle of newcomers in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League Third Division.
They won the toss at Bowling Baptist but could only total 137, bolstered by 55 at No 8 by Alistair Adams.
Robert Hodgson then took 3-14 but their Bradford hosts finished on 138-7.
In the Fourth Division, Menston Crompark II went down by 59 runs at home to Hepworth & Idle III, who made 161-7 after winning the toss, with Charlie Cameron taking 3-37.
Tim Yeardley’s 27 was the best individual score that Crompark could offer with the bat as they were dismissed for 102.
