OTLIENSIANS stalwart, Gordon Longfellow, managed the rugby club well last season, recording a profit in the accounts despite a difficult season, plagued by injuries.
The club's annual general meeting also noted the departure of long-serving committee member John Churchman after many years loyal service, to make way for new members.
Churchman first took the role as match secretary back in 1962 and has been a great asset to the club since.
New coach Harrison Marshall reported the pre-season training has been well attended and going well, with some new players in the pipeline.
Vice-captain Alex Murphy is set to return this season after injury. His return will give the squad a much-needed boost.
The first test of the squads fitness will be on Saturday, August 10 at Roundhegians RFC's summer 10s, kicking off at noon.
