METHODIST CHURCH: Members enjoyed a beetle drive and harvest supper on Saturday and the Rev Nick Baker led the harvest festival services on Sunday morning. Gifts of fresh produce and groceries were distributed to St George’s Crypt and Safe Haven after the evening songs of praise. A welcome awaits you at coffee stop today, at 10am. On Sunday the Rev Paul Breeze will preach in the morning, in the afternoon messy church, from 3pm until 5pm, will be based on the feeding of the 5,000, and the Rev Fiona Spandler will lead a service at Yeadon in the evening. The Tuesday prayer group meets at 9.30am, and the second meeting of Exploring Faith Together will continue to explore worship and holy communion at 7.30pm.
BRIDGE CLUB: On Thursday, September 19, seven and a half tables played 28 boards, N/S: 1st Mrs Clark & Mr Dracup, 2nd Mrs Weston & Mrs Yeadon; E/W: 1st Mrs Banks & Mr Spencer, 2nd Mrs Humphreys & Mrs Sharland.
