Artwork by children at a Burley-in-Wharfedale School was recently exhibited alongside work by a notable amateur artist.
Children at the independent Ghyll Royd School have been learning from Bob Prosser, the grandfather of one of the pupils, Mr Prosser, a keen amateur artist who himself attends art classes, began the art club more than two years ago, as he wanted to share his passion and love of art with the children at the school his grandsons attended, and grand-daughter still attends Children attending the art club are taught a range of mediums experimenting with watercolours, pastel and chalks. Mr Prosser, 79, was overwhelmed with the attendance and the enthusiasm shown by the pupils.
Following on from the success of the art club, Ghyll Royd and Mr Prosser launched a new art exhibition at the school.
