Young Einsteins from Ghyll Royd School proved their genius when they took part in a maths challenge recently.
The youngsters pitched their num-erical skills against 20 other Primary Schools at the Primary Maths Competition held at Leeds Grammar School.
And their incredible knowledge of the subject led to them taking second place in the competition, just one point behind the overall winners Richmond House School.
The team was made up of pupils Julian Roche, Jonathan Holland, Matt Daggett and Conor Sheen.
Headteacher Irene Connor said: “We are extremely proud of the Ghyll Royd team.
“They went into the competition feeling confident in their abilities and hadn’t done anything special to prepare for the event.
“Ghyll Royd has high expectations and this result demonstrates the children’s level of attainment when judged against a total of 256 other children taking part in the competition – a fantastic achievement.”
