PEOPLE are invited to start their festive celebrations at Ilkley’s Christmas Tree Festival this weekend.
The Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival will be held at St Margaret’s Church, on Queens Road, Ilkley, on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, from 10am.
The festival will feature homegrown Yorkshire Nordmann Christmas trees, stunning decorations and festive lights. There will also be music and entertainment across the two days.
On Friday musical treats include the choirs from Ghyll Royd School (10.30am), Westville House School (11.30 am), Moorfield School Choir (2pm) and Addingham Primary School (4.30pm). Steph and her sax play at 5.15 pm.
On Saturday, come and support Outside the Box band (10.15 am) and the children’s Ukrainian Choir (11.15 am).
There will be a gingerbread decorating and angel making workshop from 12noon to 1.30pm.
The Rock Choir performs at 2pm followed by the Ilkley Singers (3.30pm) and finishing off with St Margaret’s choir (4.30pm).
Come along to enjoy the stunning trees and music and soak up the atmosphere with a cuppa and cake in St Margaret’s Church. Lishman’s sausage rolls will also be on offer.
Proceeds will support the work of Martin House Children’s Hospice. Entry is free and all are welcome.
