TWO Rivers Concert Band will be delighted to welcome as many people as possible to their 2024 Winter Concert.
This takes place at 3 pm on Sunday, December 8th at Ilkley Baptist Church, Kings Road Ilkley.
Under the baton of their musical director, Gregory Moor, the band will transport you across time and space with their musically varied programme. This includes festive favourites alongside classical pieces, music from the stage and screen, and a beautiful arrangement of the American folk song “Shenandoah”. There is also a TV Christmas family favourite - can you guess “Who” it is?
So, take a break from your Christmas preparations, fire up your TARDIS, and rematerialise in Ilkley to support this great local band. Tickets cost just £10 (free for those aged 16 and under) and are available from Grove Bookshop in Ilkley, on line at www.tworiversbands.org.uk or can also be bought on the door.
Admission includes a programme, plus a festive interval drink and plentiful homemade cakes and mince pies baked by Band members. There will also be a collection in aid of The Swan Song Project.
This small Leeds based charity gives people planning the end stages of their lives and those surrounding them the opportunity to write and record their own original song. This musical celebration of life brings comfort and joy, leaving a legacy that helps loved-ones as they deal with bereavement.
The band is delighted to have chosen the Swan Song Project as its nominated charity and looks forward to raising funds through their performances over the following year.
