Hundreds of dissectologists (jigsaw enthusiasts) headed for Christchurch, Ilkley, last week for the 10th Annual Jigsaw Festival where the worship area was transformed into a colourful patchwork of completed jigsaws.
As fast as they sold, the spaces were replenished with more, keeping the volunteers on the move on all three days. Alongside the completed jigsaws were a number of new boxed puzzles donated by some major manufacturers.
Many of the buyers were enthused by the concept making up their jigsaws and returning them completed for future sales or were considering joining the Friday evening Jigsaw Club.
Visitors also kept the Christchurch Café busy on all three days.
Early calculations indicate proceeds have topped £5,000, potentially a record figure. Donations will be made to MIND and Manorlands.
