HAWKSWORTH village held its annual quiz at Bradford Golf Club on Friday.
The event was organised by residents' association social committee chairman Carolyn Walker and hosted by Dorothy Pickersgill, who also set the questions. Dorothy's daughter Emma was in charge of the scoreboard.
Six teams took part and none of the teams seemed to have retained much knowledge of the Olympics and Paralympics. Other rounds included one where all answers were two words starting with M, guess the decade, pot luck and identifying pictures of British actors and actresses. A supper of lasagne, chips and salad was served part way through the evening.
The winning team called themselves Mrs Goodwin's Class, their captain being Hazel Goodwin who lived in the village as a child and was a teacher at Hawksworth School before retirement.
As well as Hazel seen in the picture holding the trophy, on the team were villagers Richard Pickersgill, Brenda and Alan Wormwell, Rachael Thomas, Ian and Shirley Murley, and Wendy Richman.
