Bridge Street Church Secretary, John Eveleigh, was pleased to attend the Otley Carnival committee meeting to present them with a cheque for £200 in recognition of this year's carnival.
Despite the atrocious weather on carnival day the church raised over £900 at its famous 'Teas on the Lawn’.
The church is on the carnival route and the event raises money for the church charity The Hollybush Conservation Project but in recent years the Bridge Church has also supported the carnival committee's work with it’s generous donations.
Chair of the carnival committee Nigel Gill thanked the church for their continued generosity on behalf of the committee. He said: "Without such donations the annual carnival would not able to operate. We aim to continue being a free inclusive event."
John paid tribute to the carnival committee for their dedication throughout the year, and for bringing thousands of visitors into the town.
