Guiseley Theatre is set to welcome several household names from the world of comedy thanks to new partnership with Yorkshire comedy promoter Gag N Bone Man Comedy.

“Cracking Wisely in Guiseley” is a series of stand-up comedy shows presented by West Yorkshire based Gag N Bone Man Comedy, run by comedian Graeme Rayner, who also compères the shows. Over the coming months, the shows will be headlined by the likes of 2024 Edinburgh Festival Best Newcomer Award Winner Frankie Monro and TV regulars Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Susie McCabe.

Graeme said: “When I was approached by Guiseley Theatre about becoming their promoter for stand-up comedy, I was excited by the prospect of bringing elite comedy to such a wonderful venue.

"We’ve booked the first five shows and have some superb performers coming. We want to make top-drawer comedy affordable and accessible, and so you can see household names and award-winning stars for just £10.”

The first five shows feature the following headline acts:

  • September 13, 2024 - Frankie Monroe (2024 Edinburgh Festival Best Newcomer Award Winner & 2023 BBC Comedy New Act of the Year)
  • November 15, 2024 – Jenny Hart (2022 & 2023 North West Comedy Awards Variety Act of the Year)
  • January 17, 2025 – Kiri Pritchard-McLean (as seen on Live at the Apollo and 8 out 10 Cats Does Countdown)
  • February 21, 2025 - Fin Taylor (as seen on Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You)
  • March 21, 2025 – Susie McCabe (2024 Winner of the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, as seen on Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You).

A spokesperson for Guiseley Theatre said “We are thrilled to be partnering with Gag N Bone Comedy to bring award-winning comedy to Guiseley Theatre. It's really exciting for our local community to be able to see big-name comedians in our town. The upcoming schedule is jam-packed with talent and we can't wait to get started!”

As well as these headline acts, each show includes a well-known act from the nation’s comedy circuit and an up-and-coming act from the local circuit.

Graeme added: “We’re keen to help the local comedy scene grow and have some superb newer acts lined up to appear, many of these have already won regional awards or appeared on TV.”

Tickets for all shows are available at the Guiseley Theatre in person or online at www.guiseleytheatre.org/boxoffice.
