AS part of the Burley Summer Festival the 14th Classic Car Show was held at the Village Cricket Club on Sunday, August 18.
The show goes from strength to strength and throughout the day villagers and visitors were able to admire the 300 plus cars, 4x4s, commercial vehicles and motor bikes, with a guest appearance from a veteran traction engine.
The show drew a wide selection of modern and classic vehicles. The oldest a 1923 locally built Jowett Sport. As well as private entries the show was supported by a number of clubs including the Aston-Martin Owners Club which is always a great favourite at the show. The sponsors for the show were K.T. Green, who displayed historic MGAs on their stand including a rare competition Twin-Cam, which attracted admiring looks from experts and casual visitors.
