POLICE officers in Leeds North West have been conducting vehicle and speed checks over the last week in a bid to keep the streets safe.
On Monday they released details tickets and court summons issued in the previous seven days.
Results included: one vehicle seized on Victoria Avenue, Yeadon for no licence (and therefore no insurance); one ticket for parking on zig-zags in Rawdon; two tickets for using a handheld device whilst driving; one ticket for not being in proper control; seven tickets issued for obstruction of pavement/dropped kerbs; one stolen motorcycle recovered in Horsforth.
Speed check results: Oxford Road, Guiseley (20mph) two tickets at 32 and 35mph; Netherfield Road, Guiseley (30mph) one ticket at 47mph; Hawksworth Lane (30mph) two tickets at 43mph and one at 44mph; Otley Road, Adel (40mph) seven tickets between 54mph 70mph. The two drivers seen to drive at 70mph have been issued a court summons; Victoria Avenue, Yeadon (40mph) three tickets between 59mph and 68mph. The driver seen to drive at 68mph has been issued a court summons.
