The Clarke Foley Community Hub in Ilkley was brimming with excitement and nostalgia on August 6 as Phil Fryer delivered a stunning tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra.

The event saw the Hub packed to the rafters, with guests of all ages gathering to enjoy an afternoon filled with timeless classics from the Sinatra songbook.

Among the attendees was a very special guest, 91-year-old Alma Marshall who shared a remarkable story with Clarke Foley chairman Stuart Hyde. Having seen the real Frank Sinatra perform at the London Palladium in 1948, she proclaimed that “Phil is better!” Now that is a recommendation!

Phil Fryer’s uncanny ability to channel the essence of Sinatra left the audience mesmerized, transporting everyone back to the golden era of swing. His smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence brought the spirit of Ol' Blue Eyes to life, making it an unforgettable experience for all who attended.

The Clarke Foley Community Hub continues to serve as a vibrant centre for culture and community, offering events that bring joy and connection to the people of Ilkley.

A spokesperson said: "Today’s performance was a shining example of the kind of high-quality entertainment we strive to bring to our community.

"Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to Phil Fryer for delivering such a remarkable tribute to one of music’s greatest legends. Phil will be back again later in the year!"
