HANNAH Keegan, age nine from Burley and Woodhead C of E Primary School and 1st Burley Brownies, has organised her own sponsored walk over her summer holidays.
Her aim was to walk 73 miles - the equivalent length of Hadrian’s Wall - to raise £250 for Aireworth Dogs in Need. Hannah has now walked 84.9 miles and has raised £755 and is still walking!
Aireworth Dogs in Need is a small volunteer-run charity which punches above its weight to rescue and rehome dogs. Hannah adores all animals but dogs who have had a really tough chapter in their lives hold a special place in her heart. So she set out to do what she could to help them get the warm bed and kind words they deserve.
Aireworth Dogs in Need is a friendly community of volunteers who welcome all contributions no matter how small. If you are interested in volunteering, rehoming or fostering please take a look at aireworthdogsinneed.co.uk.
