On August Bank Holiday Monday (August 26), Burley Gardeners' Association will be holding the popular Burley Show at the Queens Hall.
Residents of Burley-in-Wharfedale and Burley Woodhead can enter vegetables, flowers, fruit, plants, confectionery, handicrafts, and photography into the competition, with a junior section for children.

Entries can be submitted at Queens Hall on the day between 10am and noon, with a small charge to enter. The show will be open to the public for viewing from 2.15pm on the day. Trophies and prizes will be presented at 4pm by Penny Wright, founder of the Burley Herb Garden.
During the afternoon there will be several displays to enjoy and no visit is complete without visiting the tearoom for gorgeous home-made cakes. The afternoon ends about 4.30pm with the auction of entries that growers and bakers donate.
