Wharfedale Chamber Ensemble’ Summer Concert takes place on Saturday, August 17 (7.30pm) at Burley-in-Wharfedale Methodist Church and is part of the Burley Summer Festival.
This year’s concert is conducted by Ben Crick, Artistic Director of Skipton Camerata and Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra.
They will be joined by Burley-in-Wharfedale born, classical guitarist Tom Chapman, currently studying at RNCM. He will perform Vivaldi’s Concerto in D major. In this popular programme the orchestra will be also be playing Mozart’s Divertimento in D major, Arensky’s Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky, Bach’s Brandenberg Concerto No. 6, Britten’s Simple Symphony and the ‘tour de force’ that is Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro.
Cost is £14 and £5 for under 19s online or £15 on the door.
