Visitors to Ilkley who are looking to enjoy a holiday in the town’s picturesque surroundings will now be able to stay in new holiday cottages located in the Wharfe Valley.
Wharfedale Holiday Cottages, located in Addingham Moorside and Addingham village centre, have been developed through a collaboration between Croft Building Limited and the owners of Addingham pub, The Craven Heifer.
Offering beautifully designed self-catering accommodation, Wharfedale Holiday Cottages consist of The Nook, Old Stables’ Barn and Moor View Cottage which were formerly an old stable block, and The Old Sweet Shop, an 18th century cottage in the heart of Addingham. The cottages have undergone a transformation project coordinated by Karen Croft from the Craven Heifer, with all works carried out by the team at Croft Building.
Karen Croft said: “We wanted to offer visitors to Ilkley and Wharfedale a base to explore the area, and somewhere they can relax and unwind in gorgeous rural surroundings, but within easy reach of pubs, restaurants and local attractions. The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey, a popular wedding venue, is also nearby, making our cottages a great choice for wedding guests.”
Other local businesses have also played a part in the launch of Wharfedale Holiday Cottages. Ilkley-based web-design company Bluehoop Digital has created a bespoke website where guests can find out everything they need to know about Wharfedale Holiday Cottages and make bookings. Heidi Marfitt, a professional photographer in Ilkley, has taken photographs to showcase the cottages’ beautiful surroundings and interiors.
