AN afternoon tea fundraiser for Maggie's Cancer Charity, held at Bradford Golf Club, Hawksworth Lane, Guiseley, on June 30, raised over £3,700.
A group came together to organise the event, which included afternoon tea, bingo and a raffle, as one of their friends has received amazing care and support over the past 18 months from the Maggie's Cancer Care centre team at St James' Hospital in Leeds.
One of the organisers said: "From my first visit to Maggie’s when my friend started her cancer journey, I knew it was a special place. Everything about Maggie’s, from the building to the people is amazing."
And of the fundraiser they added: "In a room filled with over 100 friends and family you could feel the love. Everyone was there to support the cause, raise money and enjoy themselves."
