OTLEY Players are pleased to be working with the Black Horse Pub in Otley to host 'Otley Pub Theatre' on Saturday, July 20 at 7pm.
New writing from across Wharfedale, Airedale and further afield was received following an invitation for submissions to be sent in June.
Ten pieces have now been selected to be performed based on the theme 'seasons'.
Clare Smith, chair of Otley Players said: "We're delighted with the quality of entries that we have received, and we have selected 1ten monologues or duologues that all touch on the theme Seasons but they are so diverse.
"Audiences can expect a ghost story, 1st World War reflection, and an argument with aunty amongst many others. Each performance will last around five minutes and entry is completely free.
"We really hope people will come and support the first Otley Pub Theatre which we hope to run three or four times a year."
The event is upstairs at the Black Horse Pub, Westgate, Otley, at 7pm on Saturday, July 20.
