AN Animal Blessing Service took place at St John's Church, Ben Rhydding, on Sunday, June 23.
It was an opportunity people to have their animal blessed in church, and for well-behaved animals and humans to enjoy getting together.
Those with an animal not be comfortable in church were invited to bring along a photograph to share.
Sylvia Walker, Licensed Lay Minister at St John's said: "We had four dogs and a nice number of photos of cats and a hamster who were left safely at home! Prayers were offered for the blessing of all our companion animals; and their human carers.
"We also remembered animals in the wild and those domestically farmed, and prayed for all animals who suffer through the event of wars, the climate emergency and because of human ill treatment. Animals and people alike clearly enjoyed mixing together!"
