NORTH Yorkshire Council has posted on social media a picture of work taking place at Kex Gill on the A59 and says it is on target to finish before the end of June.
The road between Skipton and Blubberhouses has been closed fully since early February, after a crack appeared at the side of the carriageway at the end of January. Traffic lights were initially installed before the full road closure.
North Yorkshire Council posted on X - formerly Twitter: "Work is progressing well at Kex Gill on the A59, and we have now installed more than 60 metres of steel sheets – known as piles – to create the structural wall.
"Working hours have been extended and we still anticipate the road to reopen before the end of June - subject to any unforeseen delays.
"We would like to thank you once again for your patience and reiterate that we are doing all we can to complete the repair as quickly and safely as possible."
