A CARE home group is celebrating after being shortlisted for seven accolades in the Stars of Social Care Awards.
Spellman Care – which operates Springbank at Silsden, Steeton Court, Ghyll Royd in Guiseley and Craven Nursing Home, Skipton – said it was "incredibly proud" of the nominations.
The Stars of Social Care Awards recognise the work of those who go 'above and beyond' in the home care and care home sectors.
Spellman Care is a finalist in the Outstanding Care Home Provider category.
Steven Spellman has been nominated for Outstanding Director.
Ghyll Royd is up for the Complex Care Award, and Care Home Nutrition Award.
Springbank's management team is nominated for The Above and Beyond Team Award.
Group marketing manager Peter Chadwick is a finalist in the Great Marketeer category, and Steeton Court features in the Amazing Activity Co-ordinator contenders.
Philippa Young, operations manager at Spellman Care, says: "To be shortlisted for seven Stars of Social Care awards is profoundly humbling recognition of the unwavering commitment and passion that every single member of our team shows.
"From our dedicated directors to our incredible activity co-ordinators and the exceptional teams across our homes, this achievement reflects the collective spirit of care that defines Spellman Care.
"We are incredibly proud of these nominations and they serve as a powerful motivator to continue exceeding expectations and providing the very best care possible, enriching the lives of our residents."
Winners will be announced in a ceremony – hosted by ITV This Morning presenter, Josie Gibson – at the London Marriott Hotel, Regents Park, on June 15.
The latest recognition for Spellman Care follows a string of successes in various awards schemes.
Last month it was named Best Luxury Nursing & Residential Care Home Enterprise – North Yorkshire in the Global Health & Pharma Social Care Awards.
And a series of accolades and initiatives during 2023 culminated with Spellman Care being named Family-Run Care Home Group of the Year in the Northern Enterprise Awards.
Earlier in the year, Springbank had received a CareHome.co.uk Yorkshire and the Humber Top 20 Award.
The group has also launched a new venture aimed at boosting staff wellbeing.
Employees across the company took part in an inaugural 'Wellbeing Wednesday', following on from the launch of a wellbeing and development hub.
