BURLEY-in-Wharfedale Community Trust have launched their new community website to make it easy for residents and visitors to access community information.
The new site includes various sections including a village diary, sports and leisure, children and youth, and social interest groups, together with information about education, transport, public services, health and social care, worship, and volunteering opportunities.
Duncan Ault, Chair of Burley Community Trust, said: “The new Burley Community web site - Discover Burley – will provide detailed village information and links to the various local facilities, groups and clubs, volunteering opportunities, maps, and photos for Burley in Wharfedale and its immediate surrounding areas.
“It will also host a comprehensive Village Diary of the major events and activities which take place across the village, and we hope that the information will be useful and relevant to both residents and visitors to the village.”
Steve Goodwill, Chair of Burley Parish Council, said: “The Parish Council are delighted to see the launch of the new website, with its rich and extensive content showcasing and celebrating the diverse social life of the village. It readily complements the more formal coverage of topics on our own recently upgraded website.”
They added they would like to acknowledge JCM Website Design in Ilkley for their help in delivering the site.
