JUST two weeks after winning the New Business of the Year award at the Ilkley Business Awards, Paula Bui, from Fusion Chocolates, has taken the next step in growing her artisan chocolate business.
She will be opening a new chocolate shop at 40 Leeds Road in Ilkley on Saturday, March 16.
Paula said: “Opening a shop had always been a pipe dream that I thought was a long way off so when the opportunity arose only last week to rent the shop on Leeds Road it was an opportunity I just couldn’t miss. This week has been a bit of a whirlwind, completely redecorating the shop to allow me to open in a week to enable customers the opportunity to purchase chocolate treats in time for Easter.”
Many people will know Fusion Chocolate already, having been a stallholder on the monthly food market on the Grove or visited the Chocolate Kitchen on Skipton Road. However, the shop will allow customers to visit more regularly.
It will stock her hand-decorated chocolate bonbons and she plans to sell these in luxury gift boxes, as well as pick and mix in the shop. Alongside these she also produces chocolate bars and truffles with lots of new chocolate products in the pipeline too.
This week she will also have her Easter collection, including hand-decorated Easter eggs.
Opening times will be Friday, from 10am to 2.30pm, and Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.
