Ilkley's MP Robbie Moore joined Litter Free Ilkley for one of the group's regular community litter cleans.
The litter pick saw 26 volunteers help clear 22 bags of litter from the town, along with a few unusually large items including discarded chairs, a fire extinguisher and a car number plate.
Mr Moore, who joined the community litter clean, paid tribute to the group, saying: "It was brilliant to join Litter Free Ilkley for another big litter clean, which take place on the last Sunday of every month at 11am just next to the Bandstand, adjacent to The Grove. I'd like to say a huge thank you to all who get involved and take time out of their weekend to make our town an even better place to be - you are all heroes.
"If you want to come along to the next session, it takes place on Easter Sunday (31st March, 11am). The sessions are a great way to spend a morning, do some good, and meet some brilliant people. This weekend, we even had the chance to enjoy some fantastic music from Graeme Matthews at the end of the session over a lovely cup of tea - a huge thanks to Jolyon and Vivienne for the refreshments!"
