AN Indian restaurant in the heart of Ilkley has announced it is closing permanently from today (Tuesday, January 2).
Sachi’s, which is situated at Moors Shopping Centre, Ilkley, made the announcement on their Facebook Page.
They said: "With a heavy heart we are announcing that SACHI’S Restaurant in Moor Shopping Centre, Ilkley will be permanently closed from today. The decision has came after lots of careful thought about huge Rent and overheads.
"We thank you all our lovely guests who have constantly supported us and loved our food in Restaurant and Takeaways throughout the years. We had faced so many challenges in last few years like COVID-19, Energy crisis etc."
They added: "We also hope to bring some positive news soon. Please keep eye on our website for any updates.
"For now from Team SACHI’S a huge thank you to you all and Goodbye."
In 2019 Bradford Council spent £6.25 million on the acquisition of the Moors shopping centre, along with Dalesway House.
At the time a Council spokesperson said the move represented a "major strategic investment" for the council which was "looking at alternative ways to generate revenue to support much needed council services".
