A FORMER carpet shop in Otley could become an indoor golf simulator and bar if a planning application is approved.
Back Nine Golf Limited has submitted a planning application to Leeds City Council seeking approval for the change of use of the building at 17 Westgate, Otley.
The proposal will see the redevelopment of the vacant retail unit into a four-bay indoor golf simulator attraction. The bays and toilets will be on the upper level with a bar on the lower level. It would also include eight car parking spaces.
The applicant is seeking permission for the sale of food and drink for consumption mostly on the premises.
The proposed opening hours are: Monday to Friday, 10am to 11pm; Saturday 8am to 11pm; Sunday and bank holidays 8am to 11pm.
Back Nine Golf allows customers to play on more than 250 world-famous courses. Earlier this year the company took over a former tattoo parlour in Oxford Street, Guiseley, and spent three months and £50,000 renovating the venue, which opened on October 1.
