GUISELEY-headquartered JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers has donated to the Cinderella Shoe Box Appeal after selecting it as its Christmas charity for 2023.
Run by The Cinderella Club Bradford, the shoe box appeal provides over 1000 gifts for underprivileged children in the community via donations from local businesses and is the Lord Mayor of Bradford’s nominated charity for the 2023 Christmas season. The Lord Mayor’s son Paul Barker, a member of the corporate team at JM Glendinning Guiseley, suggested the business support the 2023 appeal.
Throughout November the team at the business collected donations of toiletries, with JM Glendinning matching their generosity with a £500 donation of toys. Ian Vinall, managing director of JM Glendinning Guisley, presented the collective contributions on behalf of the team to the Lord Mayor at a charity event.
During the presentation of donations, the Lord and Lady Mayor, Councillor Gerry Barker and Mrs Jean Barker, expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support from JM Glendinning Guiseley.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Gerry Barker said: “So far this year, we have secured donations totalling £12,000 for the Cinderella Shoe Box Appeal Bradford. The invaluable work undertaken by the charity is nothing short of amazing, and this significant donation from JM Glendinning Guiseley will enable them to provide even more Christmas boxes for children who need it the most this festive season.”
JM Glendinning Guiseley extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success. The company is proud to be part of a community that cares and remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
