AS part of the Ilkley Arts Festival, Cantores Olicanae choir present their ever-popular Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 9th, starting at the earlier time of 5pm, in St John’s Church, Ben Rhydding.
The concert showcases a festive sprinkling of delightful choral music including Rutter’s 'Candlelight Carol', Howell's 'A Spotless Rose', Todd's 'My Lord has Come' and Cecilia McDowall's atmospheric and ethereal cantata, 'Christus natus est'.
There will also be a selection of seasonal poems and readings and lots of opportunity for audience participation in traditional carols.
The choir will be led by their new Musical Director James Savage-Hanford and accompanied by Robert Sudall.
