A HOLISTIC menopause and female health specialist from Addingham has been appointed chair of the British Acupuncture Federation.
Claire Hurst, founder of The Rebalance Clinic on Bark Lane, who features in the Davina McCalls best selling ‘Menopausing’ book, has gained a reputation for providing a specialist and bespoke approach to understanding and managing menopause for women.
Through the treatments she offers - which include but are not limited to acupuncture - she is making strides in supporting women as they navigate this complex and challenging phase of their lives.
Claire also offers advice on managing gut health, known as mycology, and is passionate about how restoring the gut microbiome can benefit women, as gut health plays a crucial role in managing menopause.
She said: "I knew from my own experience that menopause is a complex and challenging time, so specialising in this was my goal as I couldn’t find a healthcare provider locally to meet my needs.
"For many women, HRT is not a magic solution, and they still struggle daily with symptoms.
"For those who can't take HRT, we offer a real solution to reducing and relieving menopause symptoms.
"I am proud to be working with local GP practices, local businesses, and helping women realise that menopause doesn't have to be miserable.”
Claire added: "The services we offer, including Rebalancing Acupuncture, Gut Health (Mycology), and Hormonal Blood Tests, are all part of our holistic health approach. We work with women to create bespoke toolkit designed to help women not just survive, but thrive in menopause.”
The Rebalance Clinic is proud to collaborate with local GP practices and businesses, contributing to its mission of empowering women through menopause.
Her comprehensive approach is tailored to each woman's individual needs, demystifying the journey through the menopause transition. Claire also works with large corporates to help them develop their menopause education programmes by offering in-house and video seminars.
