Members of Guiseley Art Club enjoyed a demonstration of a dramatic painting of the Isle of Skye by Julia Borodina, a fine artist from Mirfield. Using a limited range of acrylic colours she carefully built up the landscape from a neutral base. The following week members produced their own paintings inspired by Julia's work.
Julia's amazing picture will be on view at Guiseley Methodist Church on November 4 and 5 at the next Guiseley Art Club Exhibition and Sale.
The exhibition will also have original paintings, locally produced crafts and cards for sale.
Julia creates images in oils and watercolours as well as acrylic paints and has recently taken part in the Sky Arts TV show Landscape Artist of the Year. She has a studio at the Creative Arts Hub in Mirfield and also offers workshops and painting classes, including online sessions. She can be contacted at juliaborodina.co.uk.
