Les Compagnons du Beaujolais enjoyed a convivial dinner at Broadleys Bistro in Ilkley to celebrate the wine harvest in Beaujolais.
The meal was accompanied by three Beaujolais wines and guests were entertained with commentaries by Maître Compagnons.
The main course was a Broadleys’ speciality Boeuf Bourguignon served with Moulin-a-vent (known as the king of Beaujolais wines).
Forty guests from Skipton, Ilkley, and Leeds attended the evening. The compagnons displayed their heraldic banner and a wooden statue of St Vincent of Saragossa, hand carved by Maitre Luc Daguzan. St Vincent is the patron saint of winemakers.
