DENISON’S Funeral Service in Guiseley are offering a car wash service at their premise's car park, to raise money for Sue Ryder, which runs Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley.
Running from 10am to 4pm on Friday, October 27 the special event will raise crucial funds for the hospice which provides expert palliative care and support to people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
The car wash is being held at Denison’s Funeral Service, 1-3 Towngate, Guiseley, LS20 9JB. For just £5 a car the team will leave customers with a gleaming vehicle and the knowledge that all money raised will be directly contributing to the vital work of Sue Ryder.
James Mahony, Business Manager at Denison’s Funeral Service said: “Here at Denisons we deal with so many families who are supported by Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice and so it is good to be able give something back to such an important charity.
“The hospice also means a lot to me personally, as my mother was cared for by the team there in her final moments. I have seen first-hand the fantastic support and care that Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice provides, and it is nice knowing that all the money we raise with our car wash event on the 27 October will go towards helping people like my mother and their families.”
Michael Tarbatt, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice said: “It is fantastic that Denison’s Funeral Service in Guiseley will be supporting Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice with their car wash event. The money that James and his team are raising will ensure we can continue to provide compassionate palliative care to those who need it.”
