POOL AFC's under 12 girls' team has a smart new kit thanks to the sponsorship of Red Pepper Indian Restaurant and take-away in Otley.
Mark Wilkinson, who runs the team, said: "Miah, the owner has been brilliant with sponsoring the new kit and also rain jackets for when the weather turns. It's great to have a local business help us out in this way as grass roots football needs all the help it can get.
"My team play in the Craven and Harrogate league. This is the third year they have been together and they have gone from strength to strength since they started.
"They play nine-a-side on a pitch at Whiteley Paper Mill just down the road from the club house with main facilities on Arthington Lane in Pool-in-Wharfedale.
"We have any amazing group of girls who always play with a smile on their face which is what it is all about.
"We were mascots for Harrogate Town last season and will be doing that again in March 2024 which I sure to be a great day out.
"We have many junior teams at Pool with four girls teams which is amazing for a small village.
"We are always looking for new boys and girls especially in our younger teams from eight year old and below."
