A Halloween-themed family fundraising event is being hosted at the Co-op store in Guiseley on Sunday, October 29 2023 from 3pm to 7pm as part of their charity drive.
The event is free entry and there will be live music, a range of local business stalls and a bar from the local pub, White Cross. The event is also being held in their partner store in Whitkirk on Selby Road, Leeds who will also be hosting an event on Saturday, October 28 from 1pm to 5pm.
The fun-filled events will include a pumpkin carving competition, live entertainment, prizes for the best dressed, local stalls and lots lots more.
The events have been organised by the Store Managers, Jack Smith-Eccles and Clare Inman, of both the Guiseley and Whitkirk store, in partnership with the local Embers Inn pubs.
The stores are advocates for bringing the community together and raising much needed awareness and funds for charity. This event is held in support of Barnardo’s, who help to transform the lives of millions of vulnerable children and Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who deliver an advanced trauma team to the areas most seriously injured patients.
The stores have organised a range of events this year including in store cycle-athons and family fun days, which have raised over £3,000 this year to date and they hope to increase this to £5,000 before the end of December.
