AN ADDINGHAM driver who admitted speeding on an Ilkley road has been ordered to pay nearly £900 in fines and costs.
Richard Curtin, 46, pleaded guilty to driving a Mini Cooper at 50mph in a 40mph zone in Coutances Way, on January 18 this year. The offence was recorded on an automatic camera device.
Curtin, of Moor Lane, was not present at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court when sentence was passed.
He was fined £576 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £228. A collection order was made.
Curtin's driving record was also endorced with three penalty points.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
The balance of £894 is to be paid by August 14.
