REAL Markets will be bringing almost 50 local and specialist producers and makers to The Grove, Ilkley, on Sunday, August 6.
Now running in half a dozen different locations in Yorkshire, Real Markets began in Ilkley in 2016. Organiser Lucy Allen said: “The market has certainly grown since we started at the back of the Black Hat pub in 2016, however our core values remain the same – to support local and specialist independent producers and makers and be a hub for the community. We also work with local community and charity initiatives and give away at least two stalls a month to assist their work.” August’s community stalls are Climate Action Ilkley and Ilkley-Coutances Town Twinning Committee.
Produce for sale includes fresh bread, cheese, meat straight from the farm, organic fruit and veg, handmade chocolates made in Ilkley, goats milk soap made in Knaresborough, cider from York, and biltong from Skipton.
