ILKLEY Town Council has agreed to fund free play in the park sessions for Ilkley residents and visitors this summer.
The scheme is being organised by Bradford Council’s Community Play and Activities Development Service and is run by experienced and qualified staff.
The play scheme takes place on Monday, July 24; Monday, July 31; Monday, August 7; Monday, August 14; Monday, August 2 and Wednesday, August 30 with sessions running from 11am to 3pm in Riverside Gardens.
A Ilkley Town Council spokesperson said: "Last year, Ilkley Town councillors who visited the play sessions commented about how proud they had felt that the Council had teamed up with Bradford Council to provide this event free of charge for everyone to enjoy; the fact that the event was free for families to take part in was very much appreciated. We are hoping that all the sessions will be well attended again this year so that children, parents, and carers can have fun together and enjoy all the different activities in a safe and attractive setting."
Activities include bouncy castles, swing ball, rounders, mini football, and a mini golf putting green plus giant snakes and ladders, giant connect four, space hoppers and lots more.
