David Tennant's National Theatre debut is to be screened at Otley Courthouse.
National Theatre Live presents: Good (recorded screening) on Thursday, April 27th at 7pm. Tickets: £15 standard/£13 Courthouse Friends.
The liberal-minded Professor John Halder thinks he is a ‘good’ man. He is a respected academic and a kind family man. However, ‘good’ men must adapt to survive. Set in pre-war Germany, it shows how Halder could not only be seduced into joining the Nazis, but eventually start to embrace their way of life.
In his much-anticipated return to the West End, David Tennant gives a ‘magnificent’ (The Guardian) performance in this blistering reimagining of one of Britain’s most powerful, political plays.
The production is directed by Dominic Cooke, who won an Olivier Award for The Crucible, and helmed National Theatre productions like the lauded revivals of Sondheim’s Follies and August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
This explosive and thought-provoking theatrical event will be screening at Otley Courthouse for one night only.
