Adlington Retirement Living has released photographs of the coffee lounge, homeowners’ lounge, restaurant and show apartments at its new retirement community in Menston.
The Spindles, on Bradford Road, offers 72 one, two and three-bedroom apartments for the over 60’s, in a safe and secure environment, with the benefit of patios or walk-out balconies to all apartments.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re delighted with the interior design at The Spindles. Each of our retirement communities has a unique interior design scheme to ensure individuality and a fresh look for each launch. The coffee lounge and homeowners’ lounge look fantastic and we’re looking forward to welcoming our first homeowners to move in from May. In the meantime, the marketing suite is now open six days a week and we’re inviting anybody considering moving to a luxury retirement apartment at The Spindles to book a tour.”
The new coffee lounge is the perfect spot for catching up with friends and neighbours or meeting for pre-lunch drinks before heading to the restaurant. It also houses a beautiful bar so homeowners can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with friends in the evening.
In addition to the coffee lounge, restaurant and homeowners’ lounge, the communal facilities at The Spindles will also include a hair salon, therapy suite, activities studio, and cinema room, as well as a guest suite with en-suite for visiting friends and family who wish to stay overnight.
All apartments include quality, fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances. Many feature en-suite shower rooms as well as separate bathrooms, and most have walk-out balconies or a private patio area overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.
The Spindles, in Menston, will be Adlington’s third retirement community in Yorkshire, following the successful launch of Jacobs Gate in Sheffield in 2020 and Adlington House in Otley in 2017.
Anne, an Adlington Retirement Living homeowner who moved to Jacobs Gate in December 2020, said: “I’ve absolutely done the right thing and probably should have done it a couple of years earlier. I’m very happy. I think partly it’s because I’ve got people around me. It’s lovely to be somewhere where things are happening. I feel as if I’ve joined life again rather than being locked away from it!”#
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “Our retirement communities are designed to empower the older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life in a safe and secure environment with activities, communal facilities and beautiful private gardens.
“Although we focus on the quality of our facilities, they’re about much more than the bricks and mortar of our apartments. We know that the most important things that make our homeowners really feel at home are having a good circle of friends, connections with like-minded neighbours and a sense of belonging.”
The 24-hour on-site support team will provide homeowners with added peace of mind and, if needed, optional personal care packages can be tailored to individual needs. In addition to this, there will be a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.
Four of Adlington’s sites have won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in recent years for the Best Retirement Development at the WhatHouse? Awards.
Alexandra Johnson said: “The judges praised our unique approach to independent living, which ensures Homeowners don’t have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence. Our aim is to provide a community spirit, whilst promoting independence and individual respect. We offer a chance to become part of a flourishing community of like-minded people, with a shared outlook.”
